Here comes the sun!

Hump Day at last!  And to my surpise, the sun was out and the warmth in the air hit my face as I walked out of work at 5pm tonight. WOW! I really did not expect it!  Especially since the rain lately has been endless. And I have only half listened to the weather these past couple of days because all I heard was rain, rain, humidity and more rain!

To celebrate the sun, I took Toby for an hour walk after our trip to the park.  I love taking him to new places because he used to be so afraid to walk off the beaten path. Now that he is a WHOLE 1 year old TOMORROW(whaaat?) he has come to terms with walking to new places even though I know that he prefers familiarity. Silly dog. He’s so nervous by nature!

For dinner, I had(woops all gone) 8 Ritz crackers, a cheese stick, Annie’s MacNCheese(holy cheese!) mixed with roasted broccoli and baked chicken marinated in a seasame ginger sauce. What a weird mix right? I got the idea to mix the MacNCheese (which i never buy) with the broccoli and chicken from My favorite blog! And the seasame ginger marinade was an impulse move!

I forgot to mention the beverage choice of an Angry Orchard Apple Ginger hard cider.  I came back hot and ready for a beer when we got in around 7:30!  It always takes a few moments of internal convincing before I pop open a cold one.  I’m sure I’m not the only one that does this.  SO glad that I persuaded myself to grab it from the fridge. It was so tasty with my dinner.

Just a quick update tonight.  I’m not sure what we’ll do with the rest of my night since it’s gorgeous outside yet Ryan is not here.  Boo.

What do you do when you feel like you have nothing to do for a few hours?

Thanks for stopping by, folks I am a nearly 30-something young lady who works and lives in the Boston area with my husband and dog. Working a 9-5 can be dull, but once I bust out the office doors, my hobbies, interests and errands that day can begin. I love to bake and cook for my family, friends and neighbors. I only bake the fun, unhealthy stuff. When it comes to cooking, I usually shoot for healthy, nutritious meals for my husband and myself. Running has become part of my life and has been for a few years now. I am a member of a local running club which brings much stability and fun to my regular workouts. Wine has been an interest for me since I started working at Legal Seafood's for a short period of time back in 2007. I only lasted there for one summer before deciding to go back to my previous, easier restaurant gig at Bugaboo Creek Steakhouse. Even though Legal's wasn't for me, my knowledge and interest in wine grew from the experience. That sums up some of the main topics you will see on my page. But since I have a hint of ADD (not really), the topic possibilities are endless. xo Laura
